Code switching is an intriguing phenomenon to investigate because it a part of the development process and use multiple languages (bilingual). In world education, both at middle upper levels, code can be done by teachers or students in classroom. This research was conducted find out factors causing do The method applied this study qualitative form case study. writers selected participants for using convenience sampling technique. There were two English SMA Negeri 15 Palembang, those as collect data. collecting data, used interviews through open-ended questions. Then, analyzed data obtained from interview theme system table codes, synchronizing with aspects items that prevailed protocol. result based on showed there are switching. Two linguistics non-linguistics. Language divided into language stagnation lack students’ knowledge vocabulary. Furthermore, non-linguistical emotional condition teacher class situation.
